Long lay the world in sin and error pining
Till he appear'd and the soul felt His worth
A thrill of hope
The weary world rejoices
For yonder breaks
A new and glorious morn!
Fall on your knees
Oh hear the angel voices
Oh night divine
Oh night when Christ was born
Oh night divine, oh night, oh night divine
~ Oh Night Divine
Since yesterday was Christmas I thought I would write about something relating to a Christmas song. This is a song that I really enjoy listening to. The sin is full of sin that each and every person alive commits. The good news is though that Jesus was born so that He could die and take away the punishment that we should receive for the sins we commit. Yesterday we celebrated the day that Jesus was born many years ago. Because of Jesus' birth we have hope that we are forgiven and that we will one day live in heaven with Jesus. Since Jesus was born we can rejoice and know that we have a lot to be thankful for. During Christmas we sometimes forget the real reason why we are celebrating because of the many things that we do with our loved ones. There are also times during the year that I think we often forget about this wonderful gift that we received long before we were born and that is the gift that Christ was born for us. This is the best gift that we could ever have received and ever will receive. God sent His son, Jesus, to be born for us as a Savior.
The morning when Christ was born was a very glorious morning to those who found out the good news. It is still a day that we see as a very glorious morning as we celebrate that day. That night was a night that changed the world forever. On that night our Savior was born and that meant that His life was going to be the example of a life that we should try to follow (even though it isn't possible because we are sinners). It also changed that way that we live because we know that there was a Savior born for us that took away all of our sins so that when our time comes to leave this earth we would enter our Lord's eternal kingdom.
Remember that Jesus is God's greatest gift to each and everyone of us.
